The syncing saga.
Since taking up running/jogging several months ago, I have enjoyed mapping my runs, tracking my improved times, getting kudos from friends and sharing my couch to 5K achievements on social media.
Earlier this month after installed my Fitbit Charge 2 app update my problems with syncing began. When I pressed the run option I started receiving an error message “Check the Fitbit app”. Then then a line drawn across the app on my screen. This means the app tracker is not syncing with the app.
It’s so distracting, you have to stop, check that your tracker is connected to the Bluetooth, turn off your phone turn it back on again, check the Bluetooth again, start your music and press run and it still doesn’t work. Suggestions from Fitbit Community Forum from many users that are experiencing that same problem, is to delete the app and reinstall it then restart your phone. This did work for one run, but not again. I am still waiting on a solution from the Helpdesk.
This brings me back to my original question, is this technology taking the enjoyment out of my running? Let me know what you think, I would also love to hear if anyone else is having the same problems and any other useful solution.
